Minutes of regular monthly meeting of December 12, 2011
The regular monthly meeting of Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club of December 12, 2011 was convened by President Mike Whitten at 7:00 P.M. with the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Twenty nine individuals were present. Both the seretary's and the treasurer's reports were accepted without corrections, addition or deletions. Thirteen new members were received.
Under old business there was still no word from the Venetia Blind folks.
It was reported to the membership that the Executive members ecided to focus energy and resources on repairs to the building, meaning that upgrades to the road leading to the clubhouse must de defrayed.
Karen Cooper has agreed to take over updating the web site, her official title and status is that of "Web Goddess".
John Murphy promoted the Friends of the NRA banquet and he spoke of the Wonded Warrior Project. The membership voted $1000 to be donated to the project.
Under new business Jim Boufar raisd the question of advertising on our web page as a possible fund raiser. He volunteered to work with Karen to further explore this possibility.
Members were urged to exercise more care in using the indoor range which is showing signs of abuse
There were no incidents of poor comportment and there were no injuries.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
